What settings and timeframes did you use?

This vers. is free and work on live account? In the manual is mentioned it works only on demo and for live need license key.

Forex Flex ea included the one most searched ea in the net
this is good trading software, the original version is a need cost to purchasing.

 

there is a new setfile around from "Cologne" Vers 4.0 Seems to better performance as Vers 3.0

 

Does anyone use the "Cologne" setfiles and install it as by his indications on 2 charts?
I do this and the EA opens 2 Trades imediately Sell and Buy.
But i dont see the reason for doing so... its like dont open a position at all.
Anyone can explain me how this should work to make profit?

That is no longer true. It's a martingale/grid and its every account is going blow with any set-up.

 

had the same problem few days ago on GBPUSD. It puts only Buy orders.. and i had to hedge manually to go out of the bad situation.

I also invested a lot of time with backtests till I started to understand how the individual parameters influence the function of it. I ran the EA on 3x demo accounts ...
Could almost double my account on a demo within 4 days with an aggressive setting for 3x GBP pairs, but only when a high impact news event for GBP came, the drawdown came also ...
Well, the only big problem is that the Flex news indicator doesn't work; only brings the message "No more events" something with the new url on forexfactory, I've read.

So please, do any of you have a working Flex news indicator?

I also had similar experiences with the drawdowns on this EA, but in my opinion the EA still has very great potential. I am running the EA on a demo with a leverage of 1: 500. i am running the EA also on other 2 demos with a leverage of 1: 30 and 1: 33. I've spent many, many hours doing backtests to get good set files . In the meantime I have understood how the individual parameters affect the EA and what their function is. In some forums it is claimed that the EA reads the history forward when backtesting to show a nicer picture ... Personally, I can't say anything about that, I'm not a coder, but when visually backtesting you can see that the EA does not open some trades somehow, but indicators have to be built in that indicate the trend and any pivot point or S + R levels are taken into account .. so the EA has already been built with brains
THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION
We shouldn't forget that we are in a market that trades tens of trillions EVERY DAY and there are giants at work who can afford the best EAs and the best traders in the world !!
The biggest drawdowns that I had happened during a GBP news with high impact and because I was trading 3x GBP pairs at the same time ... Then the drawdowns came like a cascade; the first DD, then the account decreased and the next pair reached the set DD percentage ..... The problem is that the flex news indicator does not work, probably because of changing the URL isssue. Maybe someone here can help. There are news indicators that can stop trading, but not specifically for every single pair that you run on the mt4 at the same time. These indicators switch the autotrading button of the mt4 off or on again, depending on your preference.
If you only trade a pair, that's ok and it works.
e.g. the news calendar on davinci-fx dot com
I use the default setting, but with my own set files.
The great art is to reduce the percentage of DD as much as possible and still achieve a good result, because the standard setting of 30% to 40% is simply too much.
And then there is the matter of the news indicator, without this one should NOT trade on a real money account, because the drawdown is preprogrammed there !! So far I have managed to reduce the DD to 23% with a leverage of 1: 400-500 and to around 18% with a leverage of 1: 30 (33) without affecting profitability.
And I am confident that further reductions in DD are possible.

In Conclusion:
I think we have to invest a lot of time to get the best result with an EA in this highly competitive market
