Hi Jean-Leon,

There's no limitation we purposely add to the EA, the only limitations here, are due to EA structure and strategy characteristic. I already explained on the forum and you may already knew it.

1. EA only have 20 strategies built in it.
2. Each strategy can only have one open trade, that means it won't open any additional trade if the previous trade is still open eventhough the buy/sell rule is satisfied/fulfilled.

Regarding your case, I can't say for sure, but the broker may limit the number of open orders. And most brokers have maximum open order policy.

Yes, it should be correct

Actually we set 99 pips SL and 199 pips TP. Those are maximum SL and TP, the EA may close the order early if the closing rules are satisfied.

For my case the EA didnt't open order on that day.
Maybe there isnt setup condition on that day or maybe it already open a postion with the same strategy on the other day.

But after that the EA did open position.

Regarding your backtest, I find it very strange that on last 10 years (i.e. 120 months), you only have 2 negative months while on forward testing on live account you have 4 consecutive negative months during last... 4 months.
Conclusion: BT=> 99% positive month, FT=> 0% positive month.

Your strategies are very very very overfitted.

 

Version 4.0 for AUDUSD was launched first on August, and the other pairs were launched later.

It's impossible for members here to forward test it for 4 months.

 

You understand what I mean.
Same BT for your old version 2.0.
What I see is lot of holy grail BT, and lot of negative accounts.
I can update an overfitted EA each month for his BT to be positive.
=> V4.0 will be negative for next months and you will update a "better" v5.0 with a positive BT on these months. Easy.

 

The portfolio report only calculate the closed profit and loss, it exclude the open trades (drawdown) from calculation.

For example you start with 10000 balance, in the end of the month if the closed trades is +500 and the open trades/drawdown is -1000 then you're considered in profit that month.

Version 3.0 or 4.0 is not replacement for version 2.0, they have completely different strategies, V2.0/2.9 is lack of visible TP and SL, V2.9 is basically V2.0 with Auto Lot feature, while V4.0 is V3.0 with Auto Lot feature, V3.0 is cancelled project because we can only manage to create the AUDUSD version. The only strategy improvement we do is AUDUSD V3.0 to V4.0.

We never claim our EA to be profitable or moreover a Holy Grail.

 

Please wait, it doesn't open trades instantly like any other scalper or grid EA. It'll be waiting for the signal to execute a trade.

 

I agree. And you don' sell it.
But you or your team or whoever is the builder of that strategies should be aware of an huge overfitting effect which is obviously seeable.

 

Any strategy can be overfitted, but there're some methods we use to minimize overfitting.

1. The EA only trades on the bar open instead of every tick.
2. We tested the EA on last 10 years data.
3. We use 17 pips of spread, it's quite high in our opinion, originally, we also add $3 commision on each backtest, but we don't publish it in this forum.
4 We mostly pay attention on SQN and stagnation, stagnation play important role in our backtest.

However we cannot guarantee the future result.

I don't know how my Boss create the EA, but as far as I know he doesn't use StrategyQuant.
