I read thread-marks, but not quite follow how stop losing hard and long earned money just in one day on "big" trending move or marketmaker/broker plays?

Manually looking for news and stopping adviser? That strange, because "news" option will be major and prime option you wont miss like good developer. May I suggest make new version with news option or simple and tricky spread expansion (from average range) detection for automatic stop grid and close orders or at least don't open new (choice) for pointed time or automatic waiting spread normalization?

I was faced with a situation where I didn't seem to be greedy, but the account burned down in a couple of days, I assumed that there would be enough funds and the program would be smart enough to work out situation, but it opened new grids for compensation, which in an hour became unprofitable, further increasing the load of problems that ended in a margin call.

Please explain your position how avoid such situations (automatic solution much better).

 

any expert under 100k bits programming should be considered an experimental toy to be watched very carefully but never let alone
if the programmer does not have sufficient capacity to build an autonomous expert above 300 k bits, he must warn people of the danger
because under 100 k of programming there are no essential and fundamental functions to be autonomous
below 100k bits will always crash or do you think they are used by jp morgan bank ???
the programmer must always warn that it is not complete and that it will always go into total loss only a matter of time
that's why many novice programmers use50-year-old indicators in the hope that they will work also in 2020 but this is not the case ,all experts under 100k are scams if they are sold ,,because they lack essential functions to make them float even in this volatility of the 2020 market
using RSI ATR Bollinger in 2020 is prehistory and middle ages is living in a cave and hunting dinosaurs

I read all 184 pages in this thread in 48 hours, just to get the whole picture and I did. How long did you DEMO test with the live market?
You don't have to leave the the EA to do all the job, you ensure it's trading with the trend, I said that few pages away.
If you understand the EA, then you will understand how to manage it. It requires management, please note that. So far, both EAs have been profitable for me.

 

An EA is a tool, I don't think the file size matters. I am profitable with 2 EAs less than 40kb each. Man come off it!

Honestly , the no sleep ea has been good obviously , averaging strategy . but I like to trade with gold, I don't know what settings to modify to adapt for gold. I have read the threads but not really clear ,possibly my knowledge is little.

Yep, this EA required some form of equity guardian, but author don't want to add new features. It's perfect to him, you must use hand, head and other tools.

Standard account $1500 with just 1 pair only buy and only sell and 0.01 lot would work?

Good and effective EA, hats off to this developer. This EA just needs decent amount of capital and with the right settings to be effective.
