Hi, when you make this portfolio BT, is't with fixed lots 0.01 or with auto lot?

    Thanks

    Hi autotradingportfolio,
I downloaded the version 4.0 for EURGBP. It seems that there's an error in coding (590,16 = Array out of range). Can you confirm and modify it please for I can launch my backtest since 2005 ?
    Regards

We made it last night, it's morning here.

    It's version 4.0 not 2.9.

Auto lot is used, but I choose pips to be displayed instead of dollar.

    Hi Jean-Leon

I need more information from you.

Did you also get error from another pairs (version 4.0)?
Did you get error if you backtest it from 2007?
Did you get the error if you backtest it (EURGBP EA) with another pairs?
Did you get error if you use bar opening instead of every tick?

    Best regards.

    Dear autotradingportfolio ,
as you know i have backtested all 10 pairs with TDS v2. for past ten years, period 2008-2018.
All results were amazing, so i put the expert (v.1) in live on my cent account starting from 25-06-2018 with 0.01 and later with 0.10
As you can see from the tables enclosed, the results are poor. Yes it is only two months but no gains....

    Also.
Checking the backtests on this thread concering the various versions, from what i can see V1 has teorically best gain in the history. Why should be better V4 if it has worse results?

It is simply the short timeframe. I can confirm the bad results until now on my 10k live account starting from early June. But since the EA manages trades up to one full year we are still far from a reliable judgement.

A friend of mine started end of July and got much better results until now. It is the market. Some pairs were caught on the wrong side in the past weeks. Be patient and let it work at least for 6-12 month. This is a longterm EA. Temporary losses are always part of the game.

Wise comment. The most reliable thing today is to check that BT 06-08 is near FT 06-08. If no, don't trust 2008-2018 BT. If yes, no worry about the loss for the moment.

    Hi autotradingportfolio,
    1) No error from another pairs with version 4.0 (AUDUSD and EURCHF).
    2) If backtest begin from 01.01.2007, indeed, no error with EURGBP version 4.0
    3) If I backtest EURGBP v4.0 with another pair (EURUSD for example) from 01.01.2005, same error appears (Array out of range)
    4) If I backtest EURGBP v4.0 on the pair EURGBP from 01.01.2005, esing bar opening, no error message appears.

also, the question is why don't have the problem with EURCHF and AUDUSD v4.0 ?

    Regards

    Hi Jean-Leon ,

Thank you for the information you gave, could you please test the AUDUSD or EURCHF EA with your EURGBP data and see if it give you an error or not?

    Best regards.

    Hi autotradingportfolio,
As you requested, I backtested ATPPrototype AUDUSD and EURCHF (v4.0) with EURGBP data from 01.01.2005 ; no error message appears.
Hope that test can help you to continue to develop this very good EA...

    Hi Jean-Leon ,

    Thank you for your help,

Could you please test these basic version of EURGBP on 2005 data, only one month is fine, and see if your error still exist.

    Best regards.
