What does this "ind_11" means?

 

Oh ya, sorry this is what I mean:

Code:

double ind_01=iCustom(NULL,0,"HalfTrend-1.02 mtf",0,1);
double ind_11=iCustom(NULL,0,"HalfTrend-1.02 mtf",1,1);

signalBUY =ind_11<Bid;
signalSELL=ind_01>Ask;

I copied the text from the old program, haven't replaced it with the correct variable name.

 

Because in the new program I've changed the name of the indicator to "HTIndi" (HT = halftrend) to make it easier to write and move it to the "Market" folder, so it doesn't mix with other indicators.
So writing the code to retrieve the indicator becomes:

double ind_11=iCustom(NULL,0,"Market\\HTIndi",1,1);

signalBUY =ind_11<Bid;
signalSELL=ind_01>Ask;

That's why I made a mistake while copying the text.

 

I still have a lot to learn, and I got a lot of valuable lessons from this forum.

 

papa j you are absolutely right, the combo between halftrend and supertrend is really good.

 

Sorry for late reply friends. I had a little challenge with all mt4 on which i run demo trade on my PC, they are not connecting. I chat with customer cares of each broker to detect error and find solution. It takes longer time.

 

Thank you Niguru for this development. Can we now replace this modified Half trend with the former? What are the possible effect of it on the ea performance?

 

papa j I just renamed and moved the files from the root folder to the Market sub folder. There is no modification at all.
Rename is just to make writing easier, and moving it to the Market sub folder so that special indicators are not mixed with standard indicators.
