What is this robot different from ilan robot?

A robot is perfect until there is a 1000 pips move without repair and the account is deleted.

I think you are talking about the EA - https://www.mql5.com/en/market/product/45598#!tab=tab_p_overview . I haven't tried it and hence won't comment. However, the description looks quite close to what we have for No sleep EA. Regarding how good NSEA is , I have already crossed 1800 pips in two days. Also, I have mentioned that I will share my report after a month, incase I delete the account or drop to plan to test it, I shall update that too .

 

I had all the versions of ilan which was good until he deleted the account because of a move that happens once or twice a year.

If you don't have 1000 pips against you - the test is not real because when there is no robot volatility makes a lot of money.
I've been thinking of flying on usajpy since the beginning of this year. At this point, it reached minus 1000 pips and minus $ 350 and all of the past six months he made only $ 100.

 

Nice to know you have been using the bot for a year. You must have good experience using grid+martingale. I personally don't like martingale and hence I have restarted the test without multiplying the lot, keeping the lot multiplier to 1 . Also if you see my set file, I have the PSM and other fields high so as to avoid trading much. So even when a trade goes -1000 pips I wont have more than 8-9 trades with 0.01 lots (haven't calculated though). So due to the following reasons my account might be safe even when there is a long fall for a good amount of time (not sure though):

1. PSM is high 3 , so trades would be taken at a multiple of 3 * last step size. so the 10th trade will cross -1000 pips , so that is handled
2. No Martingale- I have set the lot multiple to 1 , this won't multiply the lot size at each new trade keeping the DD low.
3. Pip step is 30 . This will keep the trade in the market for longer period of time which would balance a trade going negative for a good amount of time
4. Multiple pairs - I am trading with 17 pairs so far together so if one falls, other goes up and balance. Chances of all falling together is very minimal
5. Time Frame - H4 : Very Important. Remember that next trade in the grid will not be taken when the price has reached the calculated step size but when a NEW candle is formed above (or at ) the calculated step size. This gives you more safety.

All the above points may be contradictory but this is what I have learnt and observed in a month use of the bot.

 

You are definitely right about this. A good EAs performance depends on the right settings and any Marty EA that does not have reverse function is a waste of time. Trading reverses cushions the effect of high volatility in the market. It should be able to open trades from the opposite direction, which will sum up the overall profit at the end of the week, month or year....
A Marty should also have an option to close in basket.

About Grid Averager Pro v2.1, the take profit value only takes in consideration the first order, the following orders will be with the same price (tp) from the 1st. Is this what is supposed to happen? shouldnt it be that the price should change to follow the instruction of take profit value, not only counting for the 1st order?

Try doing a $ 1000 check on usdjpy from 20/1/2020 till today, all options will be bad with account risk, this can happen in other currencies too

I was so impressive about your work. After applied your settings for recent 2 days, 6% gain, and only 4% DD. Amazing!!!

Need to acknowledge the settings much better than mine one..

With which set file? Have you tried to test with other sets and see which one cushions the fall? Any EA without a good set will almost certainly fail. SET is the key, and you cannot use a set for months without adjusting the file periodically to suit the changing market....I adjust sets every two weeks according to market conditions....

I do a test, a regular account you need a minimum of $ 2500 and with this you can do something like $ 250 a year with minus 800-1000 in open trades - I don't think it's worth the risk
