An important hint using tickstory. Maybe you exported the data wrong. It comes with 3 pip stop level and 1.8 pip default spread.

You must change this parameters exactly like this otherwise your tests do not count!!

 

Wait... I think that the spread must be set when exporting database to that the results could be close to REAL Account... Am I wrong? Which is the reason to run BT with zero spread and run in REAL Account with real spread? I think that the settings in BT have to be most close to reality as possible to be reproducible.

In my version if I end up opening the MT and go straight to test an EA in a PAR and TIMEFRAME I already have a database loaded with "read-only", I do not know why, but the MT always carries the test with spread 0 regardless of the value I place, for this reason I use the the print function. To work around this problem I do the following:
I open the MT, select the EA that will test, choose the Spread and here comes the secret, choose a pair whatever I do not have a database, squeegee a small test and then go to the test in the PAR and TIMEFRAME with spread now correct.
Notice if it happens to you or if there is only problem here my version. Look in the messages that the EA sends during the test if the spread will be correct according to that selected. The message looks like this: "SPREAD: 6" for example.

Isso de não fixar o spread é problema do terminal novo... substitua o arquivo terminal.exe pela versão 920 do MT4 que esse problema de não identificar o spread acaba... e nos parâmetros de inicialização do MT4 nas configurações do Tickstory, adicione o parâmetro /skipupdate.

In mt4 build 950 when you gonna test , first select open prices only and press start. When you finished select every tick press start you'll test your ea with the desired spread. This is not necessery for older mt4 vers.
In tickstory if you add spread to the raw price your ea never determinate the real open/close prices. Dont add spread in tickstory, use your desired spread in metatrader. Use RAW SPREAD. Thats how you gonna really test your ea.

Can you reverse the paramaters? Buystop-->SellLimit ; SellStop-->BuyLimit

This can be used for small timeframes for buy from support and sell from resistance levels.

Still testing mostly demo, using different tf and different pairs. Tested couple days live result was ok, shared the last pages.

 

Here is a safe test for Luizinho's latest ver. 1.3 EURUSD H4 test. Safe and profitable. You can also use this settings for JPY, AUD, CAD, GBP etc low spread majors...

 

Another profitable strategy not safe as H4 but still not bad. EU M30.

Yes its N/A but its Ducascopy tickdata. I'm testing with mt4 build 950 because of that we can not see %99. But its still will be the same and its %100 reliable.
