New EA $ Simple EA ExhaustionBar + Vertex M15.rar

I understood that's when ExhaustionBar indi should help, i.e. gives you a signal 'the trend is exhausted and is about to reverse' . I cannot decompile 'ExhaustionBar' indicator from ex4, but it looks somewhat dumb: sometimes it gives you 'exhaustion' signal after 40% retracement, sometimes it doesn't catch a trend change after 200% retracement.
If you call iCustom("ExhaustionBar") from your EA, it may even miss that 'bar'. (btw, do you have this indi in mq4?)
Tweaking this indi failed, I'd suggest you try MFI at level 80/20 for overbought/oversold and its direction instead. I find helpful MFI(8) -> MA(8) crossing as well, e.g

my FT on real, on alpari M15. nano account (4 digit). depo 300 usc
i think this ea is profitabel, but still a weakness. from the picture we see: op sell, the op sell does not open imediately after red dot (exhaust indi) appear, there are some range to open position (op).
Maybe next time wini can fix it. open position imediately after dot red/lime apear.
the potensial profit can reach 5% - 10% -20% per "day"...holly grail

I have floating because it failed to reach TP 10 pips. If only this ea can op as soon as signal exhaustionbar appears, certainly floating will not happen. I think the main actor is an exhaustionbar indicator. This indicator is very powerful in my opinion. we can grab 5 - 10 pips successfully once the signal appears. hopefully wini generous to overcome this.

Thanks for trying that. Also if you read the original documentation, the exhaustion signal contains actually two signals, one is short-term and one is long-term. The most powerful signal is the long and short-term signals appeared on the same bar, for an 4H, it means trend reversal and can get at least 50-100 pips in my trading experience. If you add a support/resistance indicator (I've one), it can give you 80% success rate.

4HR signal is most powerful, watch USDJPY makes 100+ pips move tomorrow. I posted the last move here when introduced the indicator to the board. See if you can do something about it.

 

BoJ wrapping up their QE? IMHO, there is very little or no technical analysis or statistics applicable in D1-H1 timeframe. Any word spoken by a central banker blows it away - and they are queing in front of the microphone ...

Indi 1 in M5 shell and Indi 2 in H4 shell, then: close all buys and open shell

Great progress, you're on something. Remember, not every turn has an exhaustion bar, so after a buy bar, you may not see a sell bar. To exit, you need some other ways such as target pips or trailing stop
